BEHIND THE SCENES: Asafa Powell and Mavado

You know, the Olympics are officially over. Thinking back, Beijing has hosted one of the most exciting Olympiads that I can remember. Michael Phelps winning 8 Gold medals, USA basketball taking back the throne. But, my most favorite memory is watching Jamaica kicking *ss on the track. If nothing else 2008 has proved that Jamaica, as a country, dominates the International track game and from the looks of it that isn’t about to change anytime soon. In honor of Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell, and the whole Jamaican Track Team. Check this behind the scenes video of Mavado recording his exclusive song for Nike and Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell.

USA BASKETBALL ENDS DROUGHT

Early This morning (Very Early!), The United States Basketball squad claimed the Gold medal by beating Spain 118-107. This ends an eight year drought since the United states has won Gold in international play. Argentina who claimed the Gold in 2004 took the bronze and Spain took silver.

Props to the whole USA mens basketball squad or the “Redeem Team”, as they’ve been called.
